Things are kind of slow, kitten-wise, here in the beginning of February. That’s pretty typical, as it’s pre-kitten season. I have told The Universe that I am out of tiny kittens, and ready for a new batch, and that usually does the trick. Last time I did that I ended up with an embarrassment of riches, kitten-wise, and had to turn a couple away – I’m hoping for something more moderate than that, but you can’t always choose!
Also, we all go socked with a nasty cold bug about a week ago, and are all slowly trying to climb out from under it. I finally managed to clear the dishes today – it had gotten BAD! It’s probably a really GOOD thing the Universe didn’t give me kittens this week!
Last night, my friend Amy, who adopted previously-tiny Ziggy last year sent me an adorable pic of him now that he’s just over a year old.
This prompted me to see what was going on here, kitten-wise, a year ago. We just had Zoraline and her little Ziggy then. And Ziggy was finally properly out of the woods from his starvation-scare, and turning into quite a character!
It got tricky to take this progress picture in Aidon’s hands – he was wiggly!
He had self-grooming for cute effect down weeks ago…
And he finally learned how to use the box, which sure was a relief to both me AND Zoraline!
No, really, I was really glad! This was pretty funny, actually. He woke himself up peeing on me. He looks a little startled.
So okay, I’m ready! Bottle babies – where are you? 😉
