Bug and Butterfly Adopted!

It’s always a little sad when my foster kittens get adopted, but it’s also always mostly awesome! It’s especially that way when the kittens themselves are SO relaxed and casual and obviously not upset by the process.

My foster-friend, Anje, whose kittens the Bs were, found them a wonderful family! They have a 12 year old boy and parents who have loved cats their whole lives!

They came here at about 5 weeks of age, just weaning from the bottle Anje had them on. She asked me to take them when she got her new (human) foster baby, and the kittens were just slightly TOO curious about him. How could I resist?

Seriously, they were SUCH little sweeties, and they had pretty much NO adjustment period at all! And the big kitties took RIGHT to them, too!

Little Bug and her lip freckle!

And the super-snuggly Butterfly? Swoon!

So like I said, it’s always poignant, saying goodbye, but when they crawl into the carrier like this:

and finally end up like this, all on their own accord. Well, it’s pretty easy!

I will miss your ridiculous friskiness:

And your completely sweet and adorable affection and tiny voices:

And oh, my tiny little flompy girl, I hope you give this kind of loving to your new family! I am sure you will, and they will love you for it!

I believe their new owner said that these videos were “pure evil” and pretty much what convinced her to adopt these two. I can’t *imagine* what she means, can you? 😉

I foster for a lot of reasons, and making wonderful kitties for wonderful homes is a REALLY big one :)

I miss having kittens around! I would live vicariously through your blog if there were a way to follow it. Maybe there’s a plugin you could add so that folks could follow your RSS feed (connect to Feedburner) with a click. Like on my site http://www.livingwithfibromyalgia.ca

Love what you do hon. Maybe one day I can get back into breeding my Manx kitties. Or become a loving foster like you.
