Zoraline – a lovely update!

Remember last year, at the beginning of kitten season, we rescued Zoraline and Ziggy. (Look closely – there’s a tiny Ziggy in the middle there!)

Ziggy needed supplementation, and Zoraline needed to realize that people were for pettings. That happened reasonably fast and Zoraline turned into a total sweetheart.

To no one’s surprise, Ziggy easily found a great home. Zoraline was a little trickier with her wonky back leg, and her adult-status. Sadly, she had a bad dynamic with a couple of my adult female cats, so it really was important that she get a good home with either no cats, or only male. The absolutely PERFECT home situation showed up for her! Unbeliebably, her people live in Los Angeles, a good 400 miles away. They came up to get her, and they’ve been delighted with their Zoraline!

Hello!

It’s been awhile since I’ve sent a Zoraline update – my apologies for that. But it’s all good news and she’s very happy here with us. She’s just so funny to watch – she wants to STALK anything and everything she can – Navin, me, Brian, our shoelaces, she is one outstanding stalker, too. And we play with her a lot and she has all kinds of toys. Of course, she loves to stalk them also – oh, she is the best stalker I’ve ever seen!

Brian has been working with her little bits at a time to pick her up and set her on his lap so he can pet her. We all know Zoraline is no lap cat, but she does seem to like getting her back scratches from Brian when she is on his lap – see attached photos. And she sure loves her chicken….we got lucky with a friend of ours who works at a local grocery market and we are able to buy organic chicken (with his employee discount) for her and cook it up regularly. She and Navin eat the Natural Balance – can – each day, and then Zorie will get some chicken, too. Her coat is extremely glossy – it’s amazing.

We’re all doing well and wish the same for you and yours, as well. And as always, we pray for good homes for every stray animal in need – thank you for your tireless efforts to make that dream into a reality.
