Some Good News – Joule, Jett, and Hadron

I am delighted to say that we have sprung Joule from Petsmart, regained control of the three remaining foster kittens from the rescue organization we had signed them over to, and I even got a couple of small updates on Jett and Hadron!

Overall, a good day in Kimberly’s kitten world!

It cost us some money to get them all back under our control, but we also got them all spayed and neutered at a discount, vaccinated, chipped (except for Pampi), tested, and dewormed. We’ll accept donations for their adoption to help defray the cost, but I don’t think we’ll require it, as usual. IMG_0160This was a lesson worth learning, and not as expensive as it might have been.

First things first when you get back home – you get to use your own toilet! Isn’t that the best? I think we can all agree on that! 😉 A little PRIVACY, Photon?

IMG_0165Next, it’s a good idea to RUN up and down the stairs, chasing your brother, then being chased by him because you haven’t run in TWO WEEKS! After that, collapse for a few, and get sniffed!

Reminder folks – ALL THREE OF THESE sweet and gorgeous kittens are available for adoption!!! They’ve all had their first shots, and are fixed, and Photon and Joule are even microchipped already!

During break time, you might want to catch up putting your white hairs on dark clothing. There’s a lot of making up to do in that regard!

And maybe, when the human is sitting with the computer on a laptop desk, you might want to sit on her feet, just because you can!

Aidon bent over to pet Joule – and Photon, as is typical, took that as an invitation to hop up and perch on Aidon. He’d have stayed there all night if Aidon would have let him.

In fact, a few hours later, he bent to pet Joule on the bed … and once again, whooooosh! There’s Photon!

2011-01-06 14.15.30In other news, the coordinator at the rescue gave me some info on the two kittens whose families I didn’t meet when they got adopted! I found out that Hadron went to Novato, to keep a 2 year old kitty company after his “big brother” died of cancer last year. His new mom is at home all day, so he won’t be missing human or kitty company!

Here he is in his signature legs-outstretched pose!

2011-01-06 14.14.10And after the horrible way Jett’s story “ended”, I was glad to at least find a little bit about her new forever home. The family who adopted her had adopted from the rescue place before, and had another young cat who was lonely. They adore Jett, and the two kitties are fast friends already. So while I’m still totally bummed she didn’t go to Paul and Jen, I’m glad to at least know a little about her life, in Oakland.

I’m so glad you got your babies back. (Btw, in the section on Jett, I think you have a “him” instead of “her”?)

I wish I had so much control over my foster kittens and got to meet their families. The local Humane Society has it in their fostering contract that I can’t contact any of the families that adopt my kittens. Maybe someday I’ll foster with an organization that lets me meet potential families at my own home. I totally understand your desire to control the process.
